Hi, i'm an instructor from the UK. I spent 6 months working in Fiji and did the Beqa shark dive during my last week there, it was amazing! Nice control by the DMs, felt safe at all times, and the sharks were absolutely immense, so many of them about!! Definitely regret not doing it sooner and would recommend it very highly to anyone thinking about going. Also head up to Taveuni, one of the Northern islands and dive the Great White Wall whilst you're there! Only thing I think would have been great at Beqa would be maybe a short talk before of after the dive about the shark conservation they do there. There was a very good briefing before the dive, but a bit of info about the work they do with the locals would have been really interesting.

So true when are politicians going to wake up? I like to think it'll happen soon. Producers and consumers have already started to get the picture. Here's a private island community development that made a 1/3 of their island a preserve.

I have just returned from an extended holiday in the Phillippines due to the icelandic volcano blocking UK airspace. We dived from Coron on the island of Busuanga from a dive shop called Rock Steady run by a german couple. To say it was unorganised is an understatement. We dive in din fit valves, as alot of uk divers do, so our boat was full of fixed a clamp valves with no adaptors. One of our party requested a side slung 7ltr fill to 40 percent o2 for a deco gas. When he checked it prior to diving it had 95 percent, some mistake! We requested 40 percent hang tanks & on one dive were told they had forgetton the regs for them. On every days diving ther were things forgotton, gas mixes wrong & stupid mistakes. Dont bother with the wrecks there as they are all stripped and just empty hulks. We did enjoy the friendly island people but it was ment to be a diving holiday.

This is not the first time this happens... Marion15Chang can't even write in proper english, and he has been spamming more than 50 wordpress comments system, trying to get some kind of backlink strategy for this dive center.

Lame...

I know that this is late but I know i would never trust anyone who said they got their scuba certification online that is just ridiculous. They could have just as easy sat through the the whole thing and not paid attention to any of it. We had a hard enough time keeping the people in class awake. I don't see this making safe and responsible divers anytime soon. If you ask me your better off going to a "zero to hero" program at least that you get hands on instead of just theory.

Hi, just finished a dive in the chilly waters of the St Lawrence Seaway, 39F, and found the suit very warm. I was the only wetsuit diver out and the dry-guys were getting cold. I was very impressed by how little water entered the suit. and how comfortable and flexible it was.
I can't coment on longevity, but I don't see any problems and the zipper is quite smooth, although a dog leash may be needed to self-don.

This is just too weird. Virtual scuba seems so silly I don't know where to start so I won't. Instead I'll go take a real dive off the beach here and see if I can find a giant honeycomb whipray for a REAL buzz.
